Veterinary Technicians and Assistants

Destiny Arriaga, CVT

For as long as I can remember, I have always had a connection with animals. I remember
bonding with my pet beta fish named Jaws at 4 years old and becoming best friends with my
childhood dog named Ladie, when I was 8. My pets have always been seen as family, as my
dearest friends. I always felt that animals have been there for me in my time of need, and I wanted nothing more than to give back to them.

I lived in Texas for most of my life, but moved to Colorado right after high school to pursue my associates and become a CVT. I have worked hard to be where I am today, and I continue to do what I can to improve and hopefully one day be a “super tech”. I graduated from Bel-Rea in Fall of 2019. I have been a CVTY since the winter of 2019. I currently have 9 guinea pigs – Margo, Pumpkin, Joey, Calliope, Carly, Penelope, Milky Way, and Buttercup that mean the world to me. I have cared for guinea pigs for over 7 years and have a passion for exotic animal medicine.

When I’m not learning all that I can at work and improving my CVT skills, I am cuddling with the pigs, hiking, indoor rock climbing, reading, exploring Colorado, and spending time with my amazing boyfriend Dillon and his dogs Jasmine and Rin, and his cats Butters and Kaze.

I am so excited to be a part of the team!
