We have on-site capabilities to test for, and diagnose, a wide variety of issues. Often times, working up a case (gathering all the necessary information) includes a variety of diagnostic tests, which provide different information, so our doctors can make appropriate recommendations.

Diagnostic Imaging:

  • Digital Radiography (x-rays)
  • Digital Dental Radiography (Specialized machine for dental x-rays)
  • Ultrasound

* We also work directly with board-certified radiologists on-site who can provide that extra level of skill in the hospital when needed.

Laboratory Capabilities:

  • Hematology
    • Machines and tools to evaluate red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and proteins in the blood
  • Blood Chemistry
    • Machines and tools to evaluate internal organ function, and electrolyte derangements
  • Urinalysis
    • Urine is a huge component of evaluating overall health and function.
    • Helps assess kidney function, toxin excretion, hydration, and many other key factors when considering appropriate treatments for your pet.
  • Microscopy
    • Microscopes are incredibly useful in diagnosing and treating your pet appropriately.
    • Small samples can be taken from ears, skin, masses, urine, blood, hair, and more. These samples can be put onto a microscope slide, dried, stained, and evaluated in house to diagnose infection, parasites, auto-immune disease, cancer, and more.

* We also work directly with outside laboratories, and clinical pathologists, to offer a wide array of additional diagnostics to provide the best plan and treatment for your pet.
